Marlon Shirley, 26, from San Diego in southern California competes for the USA in 5 Track an Field events - 100m, 200m, Long Jump, 4X100 and 4X400 relays.

Classified as a lower leg amputee (T44) Marlon is the World Record holder in Long Jump and 100m dash. He is also the first amputee to go sub-11 seconds (10.98) in the 100m.

Gold medal winner in Sydney at 100m and 200m Marlon is hoping to repeat the podium experience in Athens.

Off the track Marlon is a pilot as well as a trained Aeronautical Engineer and hopes to eventually fly commercial airliners.
