Wheelchair Basketball Semi-Finals Round Up BasketBall Main Page

GB v Australia 52-64
Holland v
Canada 70-91

Australia are the first team into Tuesday's final. Coming from behind to overturn the GB attacking start eventually winning by a comfortable margin of eight points.

Man of the match was
Brad Ness, netting 31 points for Australia.

Unfortunately for GB their
shooting crumbled once the Australians settled down and started pulling away. The pressure of the semi final match told and neither Munn nor Pollock could replicate the shooting performance of the previous game against the USA.

For GB all is not lost as they have a
bronze medal game to play. If asked before the start of the tournament few commentators would have said GB would make it as far as they have. Nevertheless, losing a semi is always tough.

Also experiencing a semi final defeat was Holland. Losing to the undefeated Canadian's by 21 points - 91 to 70, they never really stood a chance despite putting in a pretty good performance.

The problem for the Dutch was
Canada's Patrick Anderson, with 35 points he sentenced Holland to a bronze medal play-off.

This sets up an interesting final on Tuesday, with Canada as clear favorites.
How will the Australians contain them?
