Myanmar heads the list of countries that have withdrawn their athletes from the Athens Paralympics.

Following the example of Myanmar (previously known as Burma) Papua New-Guinea became the fifth National Paralympic Committee to cancel its participation, also out are Haiti, Vanuatu and Lebanon.

Off setting the five withdrawals is the inclusion of a team from Tajikstan.

The total number of nations being represented is now standing at 143
