Athlete : Jayant Mistry

Event : Wheelchair Tennis

Country : Great Britain

37 year old Jayant is the British Nº1 tennis player and currently ranked Nº9 in the world. A consistent world singles top 10 player since 2000 and seen as a possible medal contender on the 'hard-court' surface of Athens, with a great chance in either Singles or Doubles.

Jayant is a full time tennis player and contributes actively to the development of the grass roots game amongst disabled children and adults throughout the United Kingdom. One of Jayant's strengths is his lightening speed around the court, combined with his technical skills, of both chair and racquet, make Jayant a difficult opponent to beat.

With a favourable draw and a confident performance on the day Jayant can be amongst the medals.

Jayant's Tournaments since 1997
